Lagoa dos ventos: the new wind farm in Brazil
Lagoa dos Ventos is currently the largest wind farm under construction in South America and the largest EGP wind farm worldwide. With its 230 turbines, it will have a capacity of 716 MW and will be able to generate more than 3.3 TWh per year.

Delfina wind park is located in Campo Formoso, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. It consists of 90 wind turbines broken down between seven sub parks, which amount to 180MWof Installed capacity.

Brazil, Uruguay presidents inaugurate wind farm
(28 Feb 2015) Outgoing Uruguayan President Jos� Mujica and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on Saturday inaugurated a wind farm built in a partnership between the two South American governments.
Rousseff travelled to Uruguay to officially open the facility alongside Mujica.
The wind farm, consisting of 32 wind turbines, is located in the Department of Colonia near the city of Tarariras in the western part of the country.
Brazil's state-run electric utility company Eletrobr�s and Uruguay's state power company UTE are overseeing the project.
Both leaders cited the project as an example of greater collaboration among Latin American governments.
